Philosophy

11u baseball is about (in no particular order): having fun, developing fundamental skills, learning The Game, being a good teammate, respecting coaches / umpires / opponents, hustling, establishing a commitment to Sportsmanship, and instilling in players a love of The Game and an excitement to continue playing baseball in the future. The coaching staff believes that players should not peak at age 11 or 12 ... players should peak in high school and beyond.

Goals

Team goals are consistent with the team philosophy (above). Success will not be measured strictly by wins and losses ... wins should be a by-product of the team reaching its core goals.

Playing Time

The most important "playing time" will be available during practice. Attendance at practice, focus on drills, and efforts to implement fundamental skill teaching will be considered by coaches when determining game lineups. Pitchers and catchers will earn their time at these positions. Playing time during games will not be "guaranteed" but coaches will strive to involve every player who consistently demonstrates the team principles of Hustle, Effort, Attitude, and Teamwork.
